Michael Boornazian
Founder / President, DP & Producer
Michael Boornazian has owned and operated Media Active for over 30 years, bringing decades of experience as a Director of Photography, producer, and creative storyteller. Having worn nearly every hat in production, Michael brings a hands-on understanding of the industry and a passion for building lasting client relationships. As the media landscape continues to evolve, he enjoys helping businesses adapt, finding new and creative ways to tell their stories and connect with audiences.
Emily Boornazian
Michael's Boss
Emily joined Media Active to help expand the company's capabilities in digital content marketing and modern brand communications. She works with businesses to develop strategic, evergreen content that builds trust, educates audiences, and supports long-term growth across digital platforms. Combining her background in clinical research with her passion for creative storytelling, Emily is also building BioStori, a digital marketing venture helping clinical research and healthcare organizations communicate complex science through authentic, accessible content.

Kevin Krutz
Creative Director, Senior On-line Editor
An award-winning film and video producer, editor, and graphic designer with over 15 years of experience in the industry. A Temple University Film and Media Arts alum, he has worked across branded content, commercial productions, corporate films, and documentaries for organizations including Johnson & Johnson, Comcast, Penn State University, The Barnes Foundation, and the SPCA. His work has earned a Mid-Atlantic Emmy Award for Hands That Shape Tomorrow and a Silver Telly Award for a Patti LaBelle commercial spot. He brings a combination of creative storytelling, technical expertise, and visual design to every production.
Jason Miller
Director of Photography
Jay Miller is a Philadelphia-based Director of Photography with over 15 years of experience in film and video production. A graduate of Palm Beach Film School, Jay has worked across a wide range of projects, from documentaries and patient stories to corporate and commercial productions. His versatility, technical expertise, and creative eye allow him to bring stories to life through compelling visuals that capture the people, purpose, and message behind every project.
Lois Burak
Creative Director & Field Producer
Lois Burak brings a background in broadcasting, business ownership and visual storytelling to her production work. Her introduction to film began in her family's Super 8 editing and processing business, and she later trained at the Connecticut School of Broadcasting. She has produced and directed small business commercials and developed original radio programming. Her work in the automotive industry has deepened her understanding of consumer behavior, customer relationships, and brand communication. She is the producer and director of a documentary exploring family, identity and the pursuit of creative expression.
Michael Romando
Audio Recordist, Still Photographer
With a passion for photography that began at an early age, Michael brings a creative eye and versatile skill set to Media Active as a still photographer and audio recordist. His experience spans a variety of subjects and settings, from events and portraits to food and commercial projects. Whether capturing compelling images or high-quality audio, he focuses on the details that bring every production to life.
